泥水平衡顶管机适用范围：

  适用于靠近江、河、海、湖这些有水源的地方，地下水位高和地下水压波动比较大的条件下施工，适用于覆土深度大于1.5倍管外径的条件下施工，人员无法进入的小口径顶管，长距离顶管施工，适用于砾径小于20mm，砾石含量不大于30%的砾土，各种粘土，N值小于50的砂土。

  优点：施工速度快，施工精度高，挖掘面稳定，地面沉降小，施工安全、可靠，施工作业环境好，集中控制减少施工作业人员。

Scope of Application
Suitable for construction near water sources such as rivers, lakes, seas and coasts, under conditions of high groundwater level and large fluctuations in groundwater pressure.
It applies where the overburden depth is more than 1.5 times the outer diameter of the pipe.
Ideal for small‑diameter pipe jacking (inaccessible to personnel) and long‑distance pipe jacking.
Suitable for gravelly soil with grain size less than 20mm and gravel content no more than 30%, various clays, and sandy soils with N‑value less than 50.

土压平衡顶管机适用范围：

   适用于砂土、砂砾土或软土，适用于N值较大硬土，可在管外径0.8倍以上的浅覆土层中施工；

   优点：广泛的适应性，具有土体改善功能，即使在砂砾土中也能通过注入粘土等手段使原来砂砾土变成塑性流动性、止水性均较好的土，从而使本机正常工作达到土石平衡，施工后地面沉降小，对周围土体扰动小，施工时无噪音，无环境污染，通过可编逻辑程序控制器及各类传感器等随时监测施工状况，确定施工过程处于受控状态，从而有效控制矩形隧道顶进轴线、转角偏差及地面沉降；

Scope of Application
Suitable for sandy soil, sandy gravel soil or soft soil,aswell as hard soil with a relatively high N value.
It can be constructed in shallow overburden layers with adepth of more than 0.8 times theouter diameter of the pipe.

Wide applicability with soil improvement function. Even in sandy gravel soil, it can be transformed into soil with good plasticity, fluidity and water stop by injecting clay, ensuring stable earth pressure balance.
It features small ground settlement after construction and low disturbance to surrounding soil.
